Mirana, when I watched her scene in the movie in theatres, all I could think of was "That is messed up b**ch." I didn't care for the way she (in my mind) tried to manipulate Alice into doing what she wanted her to do. ("I was hoping to have a Champion by now", etc.)
'Longing Glances', and Mirana's appearance in it, was a surprise to me, actually. The Mirana I had/have been writing in PSE was/is quite...confused, and a bit devious, and not really that Nice of a person. She tells White Lies, and she has a tenuous (at best) grip on her temper.
I'm not sure what it is about Canon!Mirana that rubs me the wrong way. It's something in the back of Anne Hathaway's eyes...some darkly moving thing that unsettles me. *shrugs*
