WHOA. The ending of this chapter? WHOOOOA. My brain? It's exploded.
Okay? This is me, loving Helen. You know, she's so often written telling Tarrant off, or forbidding him from going near Alice, or even just being all Silent and Disapproving. And I love this! Helen is true to a woman of her time, and yet she accepts Tarrant after speaking with him. Love! Lovelovelovelove!
Lowell is a giant ass, and as such, needs kicked. I'm more then willing to do so. ;)
OH HEVENS, POOR MIRANA. I can't imagine having to send that message to two of her dearest friends! And Tarrant and Alice? Having to make that choice? It breaks my heart!
This plot just keeps getting better and better.
I'm sorry this review is so short - my brain is frazzled, and I'm not entirely coherent. As my previous felled/failed moment showcases wonderfully!
But I do love this chapter, Manny, and you are balancing things well. Alice and Tarrant have a lot on their plates, and while we are reminded - through them - of everything they are attempting to manage, they are being forced to make hard choices, and none of it seems as though they are shoving other things off to the side. Does that make sense?
