Alice in Wonderland (2010 film version)

Summary: Alice makes a promise that is kept, but at a great cost. Surviving the consequences should have taught her to be more careful with future promises, but how can she refuse the queen her Champion? Or Tarrant Hightopp his Alice?

Rating & Genre: M (mature audiences only) - Drama, Romance, Action

Warnings: Violence, Character Death, Explicit Sexual Situations, Mild Language
NOTE: A alternate version of Chapter Twelve is available for readers under 18 years of age.  It does, however, contain sexual content, but it is not explicit.

Acknowledgments & Spoilers: Basically, this story follows the 2010 film version, however, wherever possible, I have tried to remain faithful to the spirit of the works of Lewis Carroll.

Manny's Comments: I adore a strong, resourceful Alice and a sensitive, intuitive Tarrant. I hope I've managed to capture those aspects of their character clearly! Thank you for reading and fairfarren!

Disclaimer: Alice in Wonderland and its characters, storyline, setting, and other concepts are the property of Walt Disney Studios, Tim Burton, and Lewis Carroll.  Where I have created original words for the purpose of writing fan fiction, I have stated so in the Glossary of Underland posted here on this Live Journal.  No copyright infringement is intended and no compensation was given to the author for creating this work.  (I just loved the movie too much to let the end be The End.)

That's because of the spacing between paragraphs. It's actually 135 pages or so on my word pro. Book 2 is 195 pages; Book 3 is something like 250?? Book 4 is... well, you get the point. (^__~)

I'm sure my formatting of it is a little bigger. New chapters started on new pages and had distinctive markers but it's still huge. And I've finished the series now so I know it only gets bigger and, truthfully, delightfully more amazing:)

Well, I'm very glad you think the size of it is well-justified!! (^__~)

I really do. And I just read a bit of the TB AiW novelization and I want you to know they paid someone to write that and it was less than a quater as good as your work:) They couldn't capture the characters or emotion at all and did very little narritive. It was truly awful :(.

Would it be okay if I printed out your story into a manuscript for my personal library? I would really like to have it in there. It really drew me in and became a favorite.

I admit, I picked up the novelization of the book and skimmed it, found several parts where things are different from the movie (the tea party, the battle at the end, etc.) but didn't bother to buy it. I find I tend to like the "original" version of things, so, if the movie was made first, then I prefer that over the book (which is also true in this case despite the "romantic" bits in the book).

Yes, of course you may print out OPK for your library. I've edited books 1 & 2 for typos, but there may be quite a few in later books. If so, I humbly apologize.

Fairfarren!

Yeah I've seen some in the later books but it's not like you have an editor so I forgive you.

Thanks so much for your permission, it means a lot to me.

Again, well done:)
