Alice in Wonderland (2010 film version)

Summary: The citizens of Underland enjoy peace again, but when the consequences of the brief rebellion result in Tarrant's death, Alice swears to bring him back to her.  Whatever it takes.

Rating & Genre: M (mature audiences only) - Drama, Romance, Action

Warnings: Angst, Character Death, Sexual Situations, Violence, Mild Language

Promises: A happy ending... after much angst and adventure, of course!  (^__^)

Notes: This plot bunny is courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] wanderamaranth and her drabble, Ends. After she shared it with me, I Knew what I had to write next.  Also, once again, my amazing husband was instrumental in keeping this plot (and Unnecessary Angst) from running away with me.

Disclaimer: Alice in Wonderland and its characters, storyline, setting, and other concepts are the property of Walt Disney Studios, Tim Burton, and Lewis Carroll.  Where I have created original words for the purpose of writing fan fiction, I have stated so in the Glossary of Underland posted here on this Live Journal.  No copyright infringement is intended and no compensation was given to the author for creating this work.  (I just loved the movie too much to let the end be The End.)

**Here is a version of  "Lighthouse" with an acoustic guitar (I like the piano version above better but the lyrics are much easier to hear in this recording).

I just wanted to say that the Song "Dust Bowl Dance" by Mumford and Sons has always been PURE Hatter to me, I just noticed it was on your list! From the first lines to the end, it's so perfect for his character that it may as well have been written about him.

Well. Here I go. Diving into yet another web of tangled mystery and intricate Manny logic. Book 4 was amazing. Gotta say one of my favorites so far. And your promise of a happy ending? Seriously, Manny. You don't have to say it again.

Can't wait to see where this book will go and most importantly how it will get there! Normally I shy away from angst in general but with the way you write and how it spurs the characters to act and react realistically (as realistically as anything so fantastical can) for that I'll gladly brave the tugs on my heartstrings. That said, bring on more chapters to devour! :)

Oh, how do you manage not to post all the chapters at once.

You must be as cool as you claim. >.<

Oh, I kid, I kid.

But seriously, I've checked this page like 6 times today... Just in case. lol

Just popping in to let you know your updates still make me very, very happy and that your writing is as good as ever.

Oops. Typo

Heh. If only I could post all the chapters at the same time... but I'm not done writing yet. I can't tell you how often I've wished for a Thought-To-WordPro connection. This writing stuff would go a lot faster if I could just imagine stories into being. (^__^)

But, posting chapter-by-chapter is good for me, because I get feedback on what I've written so far. This is a great motivator and also lets me know if I've forgotten anything and need to tweak later parts.

Not to sound creepy or anything, but I've been stalking this and your others works for a while now[since the end of the first book I think? or maybe the second...] and I love everything you write. It makes me happy on the inside.

I avoided it whenever I saw it on FF for a while though; I don't normally like fan fiction with a bunch of chapters and twists. But it got my curiousity! And when I read through everything on there, my brain was basically saying "Nurr must have moreeee" which lead me here. And I've been stalking it here since.

I have to say, everything so far in ALL the books has been unpredictable and kept me on the edge of my seat. I love how you switch between points of views. Alice and Tarrant are most definitely the main characters, but you don't neglect the others either! You use them in a way that makes everything tie up neatly and in order. None of the books have been confusing to me at all, with the way you write[and I confuse easily!] And I haven't been able to tell what's going to happen at all in any of them! It's all so wonderfully fantastic! I love a book that can keep me guessing! And the personalities of all of them! Ohh, I could go on and on, but I'm sure you've heard it all before.

I love this book so far. A LOT. I honestly have no idea how you're going to make a happy ending! I'm checking back constantly to see if you've posted new chapters and re-reading the older books when you haven't.

To sum it up: I love this. Thank you for making it!

Hello, nice stalker-type person! (Never fear, LJ stalkers are great! It's the Real Life ones that are creepy.)

Thank you so, so much for your comments and encouragement. I never hear Good Things enough (and it's especially rare that people tell me my writing is clear and non-confusing!) and it totally makes my day to read such heartfelt and generous praise! Thank you!!

I guess it's a good sign that you can't predict the Happy Ending... but it has already been written and it is quite happy, indeed! Never fear!

Thank you once again for stopping by and commenting, anonymous friend!! (^__~)

Hey there! I love your writing style! I also love Alice and Tarrant, so that helps, but I'm positive I would be totally into anything you wrote about... I have read all the OPK books (so far) in a month and a half, and I am hooked. You might have ruined me for all other AliceTarrant fan fiction (with your awesomeness), but I'm cool with that. Er...to wrap up this awkward post of love from a stranger: Keep it coming! I enjoy every new plot twist you tease my poor little heart with :)

Well, hello back atcha! Thanks for stopping by, anonymous stranger! (^__^)

Really, hearing that OPK is Loved means so much to me! I can't express my happiness.

Don't let me ruin you for other Alice/Tarrant fic! There are so many wonderful authors out there! (I have several saved in my Memorables here on LJ and more on my Fanfiction.net Favorites.)

I hope you enjoy the rest of OPK 5! (^__^)
