I don't mean to make you feel, stalked (I guess would be the word) but I have been lurking this page for days now, reading and re-reading the wonderful... masterpiece that is the OPK series.

In the most wonderful way possible, you have ruined the rest of the fandom for me. Your story... it can't be matched. I have yet to find one fic that has made me as happy as reading your story does. No one else's hatter is mad enough, sweet enough, devoted enough to match the Hatter that you have created here. It's such a blessed curse to be restricted to reading only this beautiful, beautiful piece.

Thank you for sharing this with the world, though I can only wish I had read it later so I could have enjoyed what others had to offer. XD

(In all seriousness, your writing is the bomb... please never stop.)

.... I take back what I said about 'my only wish' I also wish I could take your Hatter and go off for a nice little gallumphing... XD

Oh, no worries! I don't feel stalked at all!

I am SO happy you've enjoyed OPK as much as you have! And thank you SO MUCH for letting me know! (Although I am sorry I've "ruined" you for other AiW fan fic...)

As you know, I'm working on OPK 5 right now, but from December 5, I'll have 3 new works available that I hope you'll enjoy. (One of which was co-authored with Wanderamaranth and is EPIC in length.) So, hopefully those will give you more Hatter goodness. (^__~)

And, dude, "galumph" is a Great word, huh? Oh, yeah!

'Doh! Didn't realize that I had misspelled the word. >.< Silly me. But as for it being an awesome word... I giggle damn near every time I read it, so reading this fandom is the perfect end to a stressful day, 'innit?

And now I'm all excited for the 5th, at the risk of sounding like a rabid fangirl, I'll tell you that I've never wanted to hurry into December, what with me being cold at 60 degree weather and Illinois winters being horrible... But damn it all, I can't wait for those fics!

>.> Again, don't want to make you feel awkward, just hoping to inflate your ego a bit. ^-~

Oh, goodness, do NOT fret about your spelling - you're talking to the writer who dropped the "r" from Mamoreal somewhere between her notes and the first sentence of OPK Book 1 and didn't realize it until 400 pages into the series! I have the suspicion that I also misspell Mally's name but I don't have the gumption to actually check. *cringes*

My ego always enjoys a bit of inflating!! *hugs* Just a bit longer and then those new fics will be available. I hope you'll like them! (They were written for the aiw_big_bang so there ought to be over a dozen archived on that LJ community for your entertainment, too!)

The new entries were everything I had hoped for. (Though the Champion's Hatter had me quit halfway through to take a shower for a sad-break)

...
About The Fruitful Courtship, I can't read any of it, is it not fully posted yet? I spent 15 minutes clicking on any link I could find, and I just can't figure it out. lol
(I'll feel like a right twit if it's not posted and I've been messing around on an empty page.)

[identity profile] manniness.livejournal.com 2010-12-06 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, The Fruitful Courtship hasn't been made fully public yet. Once I hear back from my co-author and get the "OK", we'll open it to the public.

Stay tuned! It should be available very shortly.

Oh dear, I'm so behind on my reading! Then again, I think a 4 y old suffering from a case of the tantrum madness, as well as a 3 month old with a lovely reflux-issue is a pretty good excuse. I will get to reading again though, I promise! (Just thought I'd show you I'm still alive!)

BTW, Manny, would you be a doll and friend this account instead of [livejournal.com profile] mothersuperior? I'm deleting that account soon.

Love, Ellie

Hey! Of course I'm glad to hear from you (and know that you're still alive)! Being a mother looks tough. I wish you all the best with your boys, sweetie.

I friended the account you pointed out. Take care, Ellie!

Hugs,
Manny

Well, it has it's less-than-fun days, but most of the time - being a mom is the best job ever! *S*

*Lots of Hugs*

And a merry christmas to you btw! How do you celebrate that in Japan? Do you get snow there? *A bit off right now - been awake since 3 am*

[identity profile] manniness.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 10:09 am (UTC)(link)
Christmas here? Well, I guess we'll hang out in our pajamas... and pack for our trip. (We're going abroad this winter... to Portugal! I'm so excited!)

We don't have any snow yet, but we will get snow... eventually. Very wet and heavy stuff. They have to use poles and rope to brace the trees here against it or the weight of the snow snaps the poor things' branches off! Today we got rain/sleet/hail which was just LOVELY. (^__~)

[identity profile] leifsdotter.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
Nice! Before I had kids I longed to escape the swedish winters - it's so cold here - but now I see the charm of it through Zids eyes. So much snow! It's magical!

They don't use anything to brace the trees here, but if I'm not mistaken the trees here are very typical for this kind of climate so I guess they're used to the weight - even though it's been a new low temperature record sweeping through europe. (20 people have frozen to death in paris so far - scary.)

Then again, the temperature and the amount of snow are two different things.

Here, we got snow up to our calves - about 30 cm now I think - and more coming! LOVE it! ;)

Just wanted to drop a quick note and say I haven't given up on reading the story - I actually haven't read any of my fandoms lately, but when I do get back to it I'm sure I'll have a lot of comments lol.
